What Is Spiritualism And How Do I Start Becoming Spiritual?
Soul Tribe, the number one thing you need to remember about Spiritualism, is that you don't have to go to church to be spiritual. The definition of Spiritualism in it's simplest terms is a metaphysical belief that the world is made up of at least two fundamental substances matter and spirit. Meaning that your awareness persists after physical death, and may be contacted by the living.
Over the course of my own Spiritual Awakening, I had been visited by Proof many times. I believe he might be one of my spirit guides (most likely yours too) I do not think it was a coincidence, I started working on my mission on Proof's Birthday, I think it all aligns.
How do you become spiritual though?
Well first off do your research on different spiritual religions and practices. Take what resonates with you and leave the rest. You can form your own unique way to practice spirituality in a way that makes sense to you.
What I did was take bits and pieces between Zen Spiritualism and Christianity. I took what resonated with me and combined it into my own way to practice. You must remember that which ever way you choose to practice it, it's not about how, it's about the journey.
Whatever way you choose as long as you are doing the following, you will get to your destination.
Meditation at least once a day, every day. Do not miss days, always find the time to meditate.
Being Present: Living in the now is important. Practice being present during your daily life during tasks that take little effort, like doing the dishes or sweeping the floor. By being present, you can find and identify your trigger thoughts and emotions and heal them. You can stop dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Accept that the only thing that matters is the present moment.
Connecting to Nature spending time outside, in a natural place, like your backyard if you live in a rural setting, or a park or lake if you live in an urban area.
Mindfulness Activities: Breathing exercises, body scans, mindful walking, mindful eating, and sensory explorations. Most common ones are the Five Senses Exercise and the Gratitude Practice.
Journaling: Gratitude Journaling and Reflective Journaling is a must. But you could also benefit from Dream Journaling and visual journaling if you are artistic. Dream Journals are important, because many times our dreams are filled with symbolic imagery and messages from our higher self.
Other Activities: Such as Coloring or diamond painting is a great way to stay present and mindful at the same time!
Personally I practice Mediation, being present, Connecting to Nature, Body scanning, Gratitude and reflective journaling, and I keep a dream Journal. I also color while watching TV on occasion. And as a bonus I keep a record of mirrored numbers, and synchronicities when I see them. For most of them, I have a daily routine.
So, as long as you are adapting to a daily routine to at least some of these activities, plus Meditation, you are on your path and starting your Spiritual Journey!
